On 17 April 2011 marks the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Weapon of Engineers.
D. HAPPY JORGE DE Verboom, who had been appointed General Engineering by Philip V, he organized the Royal Army Corps of Engineers, which was approved by the King in a Royal Decree issued in Zaragoza on April 17, 1711. Thus was born the Weapon of Engineers.
